Local television channel KWCH12 in Wichita, Kansas, recently featured the S’well water bottle on the “Does it Work” segment of its programming. The S’well bottle is a special insulated water bottle that is designed to keep cold drinks cool for 24 hours and hot drinks warm for 24 hours. Reporter Melissa Scheffler put the bottle through a series of tests and concluded that it does indeed work.
The reporter first tested whether the S’well bottle could keep drinks cold for 24 hours. A local runner filled a S’well bottle and a regular water bottle with cold water and then took both to the track to use during her workout. After running for a while, she drank out of both bottles and reported that the water in the S’well bottle was still cool while the regular water was not.
Again, the runner drank out of the S’well bottle and said that the water was still cool although not as cool as the day before.
A similar set of experiments were performed to test if the S’well bottle would work as advertised with hot liquids. The experiments showed that the S’well bottle did keep liquids warm for 12 hours. In all of the experiments, the reporter took temperatures of the hot and cold liquids with a meat thermometer to confirm what was being reported.
In short, the S’well bottle works as advertised. It will keep liquids cool for 24 hours and warm for 12 although liquids will not stay at the exact temperatures they were when poured into the bottle.
New Jersey citizens are still afraid to put their houses on the market due to the 2006 “slumber” as an article from Realty Today calls it. The rest of the nation has recovered from the slumber and business is booming. Experts say the main two reasons for this New Jersey hibernation is partially to blame due to the 8.12% of foreclosed properties and the overall population of the state.
This might not be a good time to be a seller but for investors and people in the market for a new home this is a prime time to purchase. Housing wire along with Omar Boraie and Boraie Development LLC
all believe it’s time for a comeback from The Garden State. Housing Wire and Omar Boraie have two very different outlooks on what is going to bring this city back to life. On one hand, Housing Wire is emphasizing of the face that social media is becoming a big seller for realtors, and they’re right! It’s free ad space to get the job done. They are also crediting low down payments and low interest rates to what will be the wake up call of New Jersey Real Estate
. The last key point Housing Wire is pointing out is as long as there’s a internet connection there will always be a way to get the necessaries done.
Omar Boraie and Housing Wire are predicting the same outcome
but for different reasoning. Omar Boraie has already been apart of making New Brunswick the city it is today. He has a good eye for investing and wants none of the credit. He believes in creating “the next-generation office community” this Is a big part of his prediction on the upswing of the New Jersey Real Estate Market. He has a vision for what New Brunswick will look like and he’s doing everything in his power to make that a dream come true.
As you can see it doesn’t matter the reasoning, New Jersey will be on a Real Estate uprising just like New Brunswick
. Whether it’s because of social media and low down payments or the creation of a space everyone wants t be, I think it’s safe to say New Jersey will be happy about it and welcome the change.
Let’s face it, technology can be overwhelming for many seniors. Despite this, it can also be a tremendous resource if you can get them to feel comfortable using a Smart Phone or tablet stated Kevin Seawright.
Thus the creation of the AARP RealPad, designed to make technology simpler for seniors. It states that it is designed to be less frustrating and confusing for seniors, yet it seems to fall short.
To begin with the on button is tiny, which is not helpful to seniors who may have arthritic fingers. Other tablets have a more substantial on the button. Also, the RealPad button needs to be depressed for a period before it responds.
This tablet comes with an easy to use support system that provides not only 24/7 live help but also tutorials to teach seniors how to use the device.
The device is reasonably priced at about $150 which is helpful and it does have some great support options. Most seniors interviewed thought that the device ought to be slightly larger, and the audio video feeds a little clearer.
The RealPad is only currently available in black. AARP feels that as demand increases, they can make some of the changes to make this device even more senior friendly.
There was a sign in Brooklyn, New York that caused quite the controversy! A sign was posted that read “Help Wanted, Males Only.” I’m sure any of you that glance at that sign can see just what’s wrong with it. It’s discriminator especially against women. Why would a Dunkin Donuts franchise possibly need to only hire men? Is there a reason? Do they think that women aren’t as qualified? Did they already have too many women working? Were previous female workers causing a problem?
The restaurant was very vague as to their decision for posting that sign. According to Reddit The Dunkin Donuts store that posted this really didn’t say much about why they posted it.
The best part of this story is the fact that it was an 8 year old noticed this sign and told her father to take a picture of it. Brad Refiler agrees that it really shows the c
aliber and great parenting that a person that young picked up on the fact that that sign is wrong. It’s thanks to them that others won’t be offended. Sometimes, people do things without thinking or realizing it’s wrong. Maybe that’s what happened here. We won’t know until whoever made the sign explains their actions.
